Gremox consists of Acetazolamide Tablets, which are primarily used for the treatment of Glaucoma. It belongs to the class of carbonic anhydrase inhibitors. It works in the treatment of glaucoma by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye), thereby lowering the increased eye pressure. Acetazolamide Tablets help to reduce the risk of damage to the optic nerve responsible for normal vision. If the pressure in the eye is not controlled, it can gradually lead to blindness.

Precautions for Acetazolamide Tablets

Acetazolamide tablets could be taken with or without food, but it is advised to take them at the same time every day. The patient should take it regularly and continue the course as prescribed by their doctor. The patient should avoid consuming alcohol as it can cause excessive drowsiness.
